|Physical Therapy is provided at Molokai General Hospital to improve mobility and balance, restore function, reduce pain and prevent further injury or decline. A variety of methods are used to include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities (electrical stimulation, ultrasound, paraffin) and aquatic therapy.

The physical therapist uses an individual’s history and physical examination to arrive at a diagnosis and establish a management plan and when necessary incorporate the results of laboratory and imaging studies. A treatment plan is established based on goals designed by the patient and therapist. The patient is then treated and monitored for progress towards meeting those goals.
