You well woman exam is the time for you to discuss any questions or health problems you are having such as birth control, preventing or treating sexually transmitted infections or issues related to menstruation.

Getting Pregnant and Fertility

If you are planning to become pregnant you may want to make a preconception counseling appointment with the WHC. Preconception counseling is the ideal place to discuss any health concerns or questions you have about becoming pregnant. A midwife can help you to maximize your fertility and make healthy choices for you and your future child. If you are having difficulty becoming pregnant, talk to a midwife about your options for increasing your chances of becoming pregnant.
